Vey odd looking cross breed there Nuthatch. It is bigger than the mallards so it could be an Aylesbury crossed with a Muscovy both of which are bog domestic
breeds.

Re: WHAT I SAW TODAY.....
Whilst out on my walk this morning, I seen a solitary swallow flying around. Been keeping a lookout for a week or so.

Pottering around the garden I noticed the old roosting nest amongst the pyrowotsits.it was full of moss and straw material. Now this is where the Wren is bobbing up and around all the time and thought it's just eating bugs or something. I have now setup a camera facing the nest to monitor the outgoings.

Yea me too greenfinch, would be great to find a Wren nesting there, I cant see any entrance as yet it maybe to the right of the camera, it may even be a Dunnock cos they are always darting in and out of there. the Siskin's have been back and also 6 goldfinch's on the feeders.

The male Wren will build several nests to show his partner and if she likes one they will set up home.
