Re: Nest Boxes
At present I only appear to have one tenant in my Sparrow Terrace after full occupancy last year. Last autumn I dutifully risked life and limb to clear out the used nest material as we're told all manner of disease and urglies can lurk therein. I rather think the prospective clients were hoping for fully furnished and moved on to other sites.

Re: Nest Boxes
You know, I've often wondered about that 'clearing out' business
. After all, in the wild Mother Nature doesn't do it.

Re: Nest Boxes
Mine were all clean as they were new last year - and never had any occupants to mess them up !
Re: Nest Boxes
We have a pair starting to build the nest in the box, there is a camera in the box so can see them building it, funny thing is she is sleeping in it over night, she's there now all cuddled up. so cute.

Not a good photo at all, but these 2 are taking an interest in a box our granddaughter made 6 years ago, a pair did nest in it a 2 yrs ago and 3 fledged, it keeps on breaking cos it's only glued, but now I have screwed and nailed.
