Yesterday afternoon I saw a pied wagtail bobbing up the high street (pedestrianised). It stopped awhile outside Holland & Barrett looking all around then turned around and flew back down the street

It seems a very odd place for a LTT to show up. When you say "bobbing" it makes me think Pied Wagtail. Similarly coloured but a little bigger.
Caught this today. Was a little upstream from the waterfall I have put on here before.
Not sure what kind of duck it is though. Don`t look like a mallard.
It looks like a Mallard to me or at least half of it's parentage was Mallard. There are some interesting cross breed ducks on my local river and all of them are similar in size and behaviour to Mallards. The only other wild ducks with similar colouring to Mallards is the Shoveller which has a very distinctive bill.
