Good video willpar I have witnessed very similar behaviour from the ones in my garden. They just can't seem to judge when one mealworm is one too many.

Saw Mr Blackbird feeding Mrs blackbird on the fence yesterday. They were gone almost as soon as I saw them - suppose it could have been a youngster being fed.

Almost certain to be a fledgling.

Saw one on the window sill squeaking for suet pellets, which I was a bit later with this morning.

The ginger cat got a baby blackbird when I was in the garden this morning - I had my back to the proceedings. The cat must have leapt off the fence.

It let it go and scooted off but appeared on the fence again to see if it was still available.

One small feather came off and some downy ones. The bird flew into a tree in the back garden on the second attempt.

When I looked out later there was a bird on the birdhouse for ages and it kept nuzzling at its right side. I was thinking that it could have been the same bird.

Joomoo's Blackbird photo could have been taken in my garden as I have one with a very similar lack of feathers. He seems completely unbothered and joins in with all the others competing for food. He took a bath today and looked spectacularly bedraggled.

I've not seen him today. But I must have about a dozen blackies visiting.
I have one I call Sasha. he looks like he has a sash across his chest with his missing feathers.

But for all the adult blackbirds I have, there's only one, perhaps two kiddies.
