There is a programme starting tonight Channel 5 ,8 Oclock wildlife round Loch Lomond will give it a bash the scenery should be good .

I meant to record this and forgot . A friend told me it was a very good prog so prompted by that, and Greenfinch's mention, I firkled it out and it's repeated on Tuesday, 17th at 3.10 A.m.
I've set it to record this time !!

Aaaahh, the Cap'n's gottit !!! Head of Beeb rang me to say he'd emailed some Notes for Guidance concerning the WeatherWatchers project but I didn't know what he was talking about . Seems everyone else was submitting reports concerning footy and ruggy (wot ?!?!?) 'cos that's all folk want to know about and the Beeb needed similar reports from far flung places (cheek ) and not just the immediate environs of Twickers and Old Trafford.


I declined to fall into line and reminded him that they had lost the glorious game franchise to Sky because of this dismissive attitude. He'll change his tune when Pakistan and Sri Lanka arrive next summer.
I have cancelled my subscription forthwith and am awaiting a visit from a detector van.
In the meantime, bad light has stopped play

Quite a nice chap actually - we met for tea and after a couple of twitches of my farthingale he fell into line.
I sold him 2 tickets to the Sri Lanka Second Test at The Wee Glen Cricket Ground and he's promised to rethink the emphasis of the WeatherWatchers reports.
For the avoidance of confusion it's going to be renamed, "Forecasts From Deep Fine Leg" - probably on the News tomorrow .
This can only get better and better. The Russian arctic fleet has already signed up for daily details.

Hedgehog Numbers in Decline.....The Reason?

One of the best-loved creatures of the British countryside is now so endangered there are real fears for its future.
A report published today shows that the hedgehog is continuing to decline to dangerously low levels in both rural and urban habitats.
The State of Britain's Hedgehogs 2015 follows the first comprehensive review of the status of
hedgehogs nationally in 2011. Since this first report, several ongoing surveys have shown a continuing population decline.

Covert surveillance by the British Intelligence Services has revealed that hundreds of adult
hedgehogs have been radicalised, and are making their way to Syria to join their Jihadist
brothers in the continuing fight to form a Caliphate. They are abandoning their offsrping
and animal rescue centres are being inundated with loads of baby hedgehogs whose parents
have gone off to join ISIS.

World famous hedgehog, Mrs Tiggywinkle (now known as Shabnam Al Heji), along with
her husband, Allah Ben Tiggywinkle are just two of the former nice British Hedgehogs that
MI5 have shadowed all the way from a leafy meadow in Shropshire to the Syrian border
with Turkey.

A source for British Intelligence said; "We must stop this mass migration of radicalised
hedgehogs, because the animal rescue centres just cannot cope with the influx of
abandoned little hedgehogs........rumours are spreading that this radicalisation is
spreading to both badger and rabbit populations"

Who's doing it, who's doing the radicalisering ?!?!?! There oughter be a law .......
We wildlifers should step forward and be counted (I make it four) and form a covert organisation to ferret out the radicalisers. We could creep around sheds at night disguised in floaty things and suchlike spy uniforms; check out feeding stations and wormeries; ask the neighbours and mates down the pub (on second thoughts, perhaps not the pub). I mean someone must know someone !!!
Might be tricky for Willpar though - I seem to recall that on one particular festive occasion we burned his shed down. Stick to the feeding stations, Willpar :yes:and gettem on film.
Now about the badgers and rabbits ....... I'll ask Robbo

My cousin has asked me about a garden camera ,I have no idea really about them she is pretty sure they have badgers at night and would like to see what is going on any idea folks what would be best.
