Some of the older members may remember Yellowbill a.k.a. Karen Sophie. She has announced on Facebook her nuptials which will be October next year.

Whilst watching "play" at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi this afternoon the cameraman, who obviously felt the same way as I did, turned the lens on a peregrine falcon having his tea in the outfield. It was quite unconcernedly pulling the feathers from a feral pigeon oblivious to the 23 spectators in the huge stadium.
The camera returned to the falcon a little later and Ian Botham remarked, "There's a lot of them about.". I think he meant falcons.

Later the lens zoomed into another section of the grass to show a very large beetle crawling along. It appeared to be about as big as the falcon's tea.
Both wildlife episodes were much more entertaining than the game .......

It's a pity the camera didn't catch the bit where the Peregrine brought down it's pigeon. A great deal more exciting than the cricket. :)

Today the cameraman focussed on a female grey wagtail walking around the outfield. It was so thrilling :drumroll:  :rara:

:D roasting on an open fire?

Someone threw my chestnut roaster out some years ago :hissyfit: :(

Thereafter I did just put some in the oven on a tray - one or two exploded  :flying:

Must get another.

Someone bought mince pies yesterday - I've had two.

Bought some chestnuts placi. I picked up around a pound of them on my walk today. Mind you, the squirrels more than likely buried a heap of them.
