Fruit Identification.

Picked up a few fruits yesterday, and some chestnuts. The fruit as you can see are quite unusuall. The tree was growing in a hedge and had plenty of fruit on it. Don't know if it is an apple or a pear. Certainly a weird shape.

Wondering whether you have some "papples" there, Willpar ?? Apple/pear cross.
