Lots of Geese arriving now ,and a few winter visitors .

Pigeons not been back so far.

First Geese (probably Barnacle) heading for Caerlaverock (WWT) yesterday.

Four Blackbirds returned to the dyke this morning and they look the scabbiest I have ever seen ,will have to feed them up I hope thats all that is the matter.

When you say "scabbiest" have they got bald patches or just look as though they're in mid-moult?

JS ,the bodies look ok but the head and neck are featherless not very pretty.

It seems to be becoming a common complaint for Blackbirds. I have one almost every year in my garden. :blackbird:

Seen several flocks of swallows heading for the coast today. And lots that were not in a flock.
