Very good point, Nuthatch. Personally, I hadn't realised that but you're quite correct (IMO).

Either:
(1) I should delete my post and put it under, I s'pose, Insects,
And/Or:
(2) The originator of WIST might wish to consider resiting it in a catch-all category.

I had noticed it was an insect report in the bird section but I decided that it was a small point and not worth getting concerned about.
I know we get thread drift from time to time and I'm probably as guilty as anyone so unless it really goes off the rails no-one is going to get Jacksparrow'd :)

I saw my Wren fly into the Dog Rose bush and start singing. For a little bird they can certainly bang out the volume.

A few days back I was thinking that not only had I not seen a sturk in my garden for a very long time, I'd not seen one at all for a very very long time.

But today there was one in my garden sticking his beak in the ground. I was soo happy to see one :)

Had a pair of Long Tailed Tits in the feeder cage. One was feeding, the other was more interested in a down feather and carried it off. Must be nesting nearby!
I have added net of hair in the feeder and collected some down feathers also :) it all helps
