They're the breeding islands, Jack, the wire keeps the less birdie predators from the nests. Brownsea Island lagoon has a similar set up

I very rarely see terns, great to get so many photo's PB. Lots of non tern subjects as well :)

Those tern photos are fabulous
I think your Ruff is a B-H G having an identity crisis - it's definitely going through a difficult transition

Thanks Cin, they were a joy to watch.
I'm not convinced either way with the Ruff/Gull... tried again with google lens, and a tight crop said BH Gull, but with a "border" of water round the bird in the crop it said ruff :shrug: :D

Some great tern action shots PB, I do love the B&W peewit. Them darn waders are always doing their best to confuse use ....(my weekend has now started as just finished a 12hr shift woohoo)
