Stunning video footage William, like Snappy said, excellent job with the flighty Hawkmoth. Nice to see the Jersey Tiger with it's wings not fully folded. Clouded Yellow footage was lovely too.

Fantastic Fungi and other things.
Found some great fungi down the woods. HBHMs feature well, That was August 2026.

Fantastic fungi indeed William! That coral coloured one was spectacular. And well done with the HHM, especially in the breeze! And lovely flutterby footage.... https://www.dorsetbutterflies.com/2026/ ... w-bonanza/ may be of interest
Overall top job William

Many thanks PB, and for the compliment. Loved the fungi and for me the texture of the wood was just as important, is why I kept on the wide side in some cases. Many thanks for the link, that was an impressive count of 40+ from the observer. Can say my tally for the season of clouded yellows stand at 32 so far. But when the numbers are in not only for migrants but as a whole, this year will be exceptional for butterflies as a whole. HBHMs can be difficult, just hope for the best.
Re: Pot Pourri
You did well with the moths, butterflies and fungi for August William. I haven't managed to see a single clouded yellow

Many thanks Snappy, was well pleased with what I managed to get, has been a good season.
