BLACKBIRDS
I have a few blackies in my garden, but one of them is "on the change"
He does seem to get picked on a bit

Re: BLACKBIRDS
Today I had a pair of Blackbirds investigating the ivy on my front garden wall where the last nest tragically failed. I will be keeping a close eye on proceedings to see if another nest is started.

Re: BLACKBIRDS
Male Blackbird comes into the garden daily. Has a bath when he's here but doesn't bring his towel.

Re: BLACKBIRDS
Had two male Blackbirds on the fence this morning. Both looked like adults, but they seem to be working together rather than acting territorial. Thought that they may be related.

Re: BLACKBIRDS
It has been a miserable day at the chateau today with persistent rain
but my favourite Blackie has been keeping dry under the cover of my back patio. He has been going out into the rain occasionally but only to try and see off other males.

Re: BLACKBIRDS
I found a dead baby blackbird on my lawn this afternoon.
It looked intact apart from its head. I then spotted it all bent under, but the next had face was red and looked eaten away. There were a few feathers a few yards away, but there was no damage to the body at all. Very strange.

Sounds like Moggy work to me. They kill for fun.JooMoo wrote:I found a dead baby blackbird on my lawn this afternoon.
