After the Bluethroat 22/04/2026
So, as the plan had been all along, after a skip and jump to the Bluethroat, and little trip back into Poole for the first ferry to Brownsea... and you know what that means... Squirrels

Lovely. It would be great to see a red squirrel. I think the last of those left my area early 80's although I have foggy memories of them.

Brownsea is the only place I've seen them Bob, despite visiting "hotspots" for them several times in Scotland and Northumberland. Elusive little beggars lol

A great selection of red squirrel photo's PB, looks like the day went to plan
Nice supporting finds as well.

Reds are just the most delightful little charismatic beasts.
I would sent that photo to HQ as the crew might really like that for the station - don't often get that sort of shot - I know most of ours are either formal i.e. boat dressed overall and crew lined up in either shore kit and sometimes boat gear or blurry shots from a shout - I know I would have like this sort of photo of my man although he was on the all weather boat.
