Swineham GP, the precursor to Brownsea Island, 22/04/2026

Post by PimperneBloke »

As the title suggests, good weather, if breezy, made me decide on first trip of the year to Brownsea, but with something quite rare also been hanging about for a week, I decided to go for a "twitch", before returning for the first ferry at 10 :D

Thanks all. It was down a narrow bit of track with the flooded gravel pits either side, and people were queuing to see it, I was there before 7:30, and already half a dozen people in front of me. It deffo came close, but I had the big lens on, so was shooting over and around the people in front of me, so didn't wait to get to the front of the queue.... I had a ferry to catch lol. A comment someone posted was that it was getting fatter and fatter as so many people were feeding it mealworms!!
