So following 3 belting days, weather-wise, I decided a a butterfly trip after work might be a good idea. It certainly increased the species seen, but the photo opportunities were limited.
I saw several Orange Tips and Brimstones, but none settled, half a dozen or more pristine Speckled Wood, a blurry Small Tortoiseshell (or perhaps it's just the photo that's blurry

) and another few big whites, which may have been Brimstones, but I can't be sure. There was plenty of birdsong too, with Chaffinches and Tits along with Robin, Wren and Thrushes.
No need for refreshments for these few pics!!
