Studland 01/04/2026, Not the Terns!

Post by PimperneBloke »

Finally got round to posting the rest of the trip out that was dominated by the 5 minutes of Tern activity :) It's quite long, and I ran out of energy with the captions, so just a select few!

A fine selection PB  It always difficult to pick a star from your vast choice but the handsome Merganser takes it for me.

I was glad of the peace and quiet when I got back to the car :D It was fabulous to hear so much song, except for the gulls squawking and crows and rooks doing whatever they do. There were multiples of dunnock, chaffinch, at least 2 song thrushes... one in full song and one just trying a few odd notes out, and countless great and blue tits all vying for sound superiority :)
