Hmmm! Stag sporting the latest in fashion accessories this morning at sunrise.

I have never seen one doing that Bob, great photo.

Cheers Snappy. I think they toss up the undergrowth, take mud baths and roll about in their own urine.... anything to get attention from the ladies. lol.

A different stag yesterday, not more than 20-30 yards away from the footpath. A lot too close for comfort really during this time but luckily he was preoccupied bolving away at another stag a little way away in the woods.

A couple of reds this morning. It's been a couple of months since going to see them. An inquisitive youngish one in portrait and and older one in landscape staring me down.

Cheers Snappy. Yep. Quiet up on the moors itself for the stags but they often take to the woods after the rut to chill out and get back together. It is interesting as they don't hold back in the rut and some will get injured or occasionally killed. Then they come back together after for most of the year. Hard to fathom that mind set. but I'm not a deer.
