Yes, I'm almost certain they are Chiffchaffs. I only started seeing them relatively recently.

I had one Chiffchaff fly in with the swoops of Great Tits and Blue Tits one day and he stayed in my garden calling loudly (must be a male). He even came only an arm's length from me one day as I was sitting in my hanging basket chair drinking tea on the balcony. He is so quick any photos are impossible to take. Then his new wife showed up and he stopped calling. But they still like my bird bath and fountain and catch insects in and by my open air green house.

It's October and I'm still getting most of the same species visiting the pond as I did in the summer.
