According to my wife they have white wagtails (Motacilla alba) in Lithuania which are called 'Kielė'. And according to an old Lithuanian folk's tale when the waggies arrive there in early spring they bounce their tails against the ice to help drive winter away!

So it was time for a wee trip doon the park today in search of autumn migration.....sadly was less than usual amout of geese and swans today, did see a kingie upon my arrival and camera was still in the back as didn't expect it to come up from the overflow waterfall that drains the loch into the clyde, flew right across the Loch then a lost it
