Oh wow we getting treated to 2 birds today...ahh so that's what a Ruff looks like close up, the one at the Haugh is always miles away!!! Godwit looks so smart in is summer plumage...Nice photo SM

Apparently if you're clever, the length of leg above the knee gives it away... short length is Bar-Tailed, longer length is Black-Tailed... I don't see many Godwit, lucky dip if it is black or bar-tailed.
