Photo sharing options?

Post by scozmos »

Morning all (still in my goonie!!) I just thought I'd drop some info about photo sharing options, hope that's ok?

I currently put my photos into an album on Flickr, not everyone has it but, their photo sharing setup is pretty good and they do have a Free but limited account - https://www.flickrhelp.com/hc/en-us/art ... nforcement

I also have an Ente account, they're pretty new but, they are e2e encrypted unlike Apple / Google etc. That means only you and those you share with can access them AND, you can nominate someone to inherit them..... However, they are still working on the share / embed option so I put everything on there after I've shared etc. (I've been badgering them for a date for this to work) - https://ente.io/#pricing

I don't use Apple or Google etc any more and definitely not FB or Insta!!!! There are lots of options out there - https://www.tomsguide.com/best-picks/be ... aphy-sites

Anyway, hope this is of use to some? :wave2:

As previously stated I use Flickr and have done for some years. It is fairly easy to navigate and even a technophobe such as myself can get results.

I just had a brain f4rt! There's a free federated video sharing platform I've started using, a bit like YouTube without all the ads and algorithms etc. Just your videos, take a look if you're interested!

I have used Flickr of many many years and I have always found it to be a good service but now they push the pro accounts and freebie are kind of limited since being bought out by SmugMug.

I share more of my images on social medial especially on my Facebook page.
