Tweed Valley Osprey

Post by Bobs_Retired »

We went to Kelso races on Sunday and afterwards drove up the Tweed valley towards Berwick. We came across an Osprey nest with a sitting female and a roosting male. Another Osprey (probable female due to size) attempted to land on the nest but was escorted off by the sitting female. There is another Tweed valley Osprey nest which reportedly has a 2 female / 1 male residency. I wonder if the "spare" female is sharing herself around a bit more than at first thought.

One of my favourites, Bob. I am a bit of an Ospreyholic! Gonna miss that after the 1st. We can still see the live nest but not get the daily updates etc.

Yes it's going to be a lot different for the Ospreyholics but I'm sure something might come up that works for you all.
