No
But I had one off the CIA saying that since my email was one of about 12 on a master list of spammers' victims, I'd get a share of a pot of about $75million. I think my share was $17.5m but it would be sent in cash in a trunk.
The very next one was from the FBI saying I was the victim of a $2.5m scam, but they'd give met that in compensation.

So does anyone want a share of my good fortune? If you rent me a nice car for a day I could drive the cash to you :)

Not had either of those. Did get an offer for a job though. Apparently I am sought after ... yeh right. The clue for spam stuff is usually in the spelling of the message or the address of the sender. In this particular email, I was 'sort' after ... not sure what sort they meant ......me'be they meant to say, 'sort of after' .....

I have been rung twice in the last 3 days by the scammers trying to convince you that they're ringing on behalf of windows computers. I have given them short shrift both times but I suspect they'll try again.

Maybe it's one of those "blanket an area and talk to the first dozo who answers their 'phone". Let it ring for a while, Cap'n ........
(Not that I'm in any way whatsoever inferring that your good self is what is vulgarly referred to as a "dozo" in the modern vernacular.)

'Phone call this affie - "This is (my bank) Security, I just need to ask a few security questions". I said, "This is a scam" and hung up.
The number was showing so I rang the bank and reported the scam. The lady checked The Screen and confirmed that indeed it had been my bank, querying a failed grocery order yesterday. I admit I was surprised, and it showed, but was impressed that they had picked up on the failure.
She said, "Not at all, it's correct that you reported it. THERE'S A LOT OF IT AT THIS TIME OF YEAR".

So, I'm just saying, Watch Out - it might be genuine but in the runup to Crimbo, THERE'S A LOT OF IT ABOUT !!!

Does sound a bit 'funny' though, doesn't it, Placi, especially over the phone .....

I think I'd have been suspicious too. My bank calling me on a Sunday  ...............yeah right!
About this failed grocery order. I do hope the corner shop has been able to keep you sustained until such time as the snag has been sorted.

Food not a problem, Cap'n - am chewing happily on jerked haggi. Highly nutritious if a little tough.

Funnily enuf, heard on News this very morning that a telephone scam is going round purporting to be from Your Bank Card Provider.
