No less than four buzzards all in the same place soaring around. Did split up after a while into two pairs, with one of the pairs lying away.

More like 'what I didn't see today'.

Loch of the Lowes - this video is unavailable.

Glaslyn - the live stream recording is unavailable.

Both sites may be doing essential work on their cameras

It could be adults and fledglings from this year's nest.

A thump on the patio door this afternoon indicated a bird strike and sure enough the tiny body of a juvenile Goldfinch lay on the slabs. It was still twitching so I shifted it to the garden seat where it lay still twitching for about 10 minutes. I left it alone for a while and went out for another look, it caught sight of me and flew off in a panic.

Have noticed that the wood pigeons are starting to eat the rowan berries.

It is usually about this time my Woodies start eating the ivy berries. My rowan is a dead loss for berries after the very dry summer.

Happens nearly every day - birds flying into front window. I had decals on the window and they still flew into it. Think I must have the most stupid birds in Britain. Any suggestions on how to stop them flying into the window.

My theory (for what it is worth) is that very often the birds are flying in panic from some real or imagined threat, so their little brains are happy just to be getting away rather than looking for what lies ahead. There is still a percentage of those which misread the window's reflection for sky but most strikes are for the first reason so no number of tricks will prevent them.
