Never opened it but just had an email supposed to be from EON about winter fuel payments. Not even with them, so has to be something more sinister.

The consumer champions which tested out the E.on email scams, and yes it is just that. They reported that they will steal your money and take out loans in your name.

Be aware of automated call from supposedly from your bank asking if you have used debit card to online gambling site. and press 1 for no or another number for yes. Had to contact mine this morning to ask about it. Took an age to speak to someone but got there in the end. No fraud on my account, but now they are aware. These crooks are getting smarter than ever.

I have a BT phone which only lets through callers I have authorised so everyone else has to announce themselves and I decide whether I wan to to talk or not. Since I've had it I have had no scam calls automated or otherwise have come through.

I don't usually answer the phone let the answer machine do it. But am waiting for a call about a delivery.

Yep, I've had that one several times. The others that I get frequently are telling me I have been selected to win items of electrical equipment very often claiming to be Currys.
My original and oldest email address was on Wetherspoons system when it was hacked and I have been receiving spam ever since. I think that happened in about 2012.

I have seen some of them but I like to think I would not fall for some of the scams. I suppose we are all vulnerable if caught off guard.

Just had another tv license email. Last one was 17/07/23. They like to try.
