It is some time since I posted on this subject. The strange occurrences are still happening though much reduced in frequency. The latest one was rather bizarre as my uncle had been struggling to release some rusted on nuts on his old rotovator without getting any joy. He went away to have his tea and returned later to give it one last try. This time they were all loose enough for him to undo them by hand

Usually helpful occasionally mischievous and very rarely a damned nuisance if my uncle is to be believed.
I've said previously that I'd never seen or heard anything while at the house but that has changed recently. I've been spending more time at the house and while I was sat in the front room there was a loud noise which sounded like something falling over and crashing down in the kitchen. I went out to the kitchen where the noise come from and there was nothing out of place. Uncle said he'd heard the same noise on several occasions.

Now this is spooky. My uncles landline phone is the old fashioned style with a base and handset connected by a curly cable. I had occasion to ring him last evening and he struggled to answer the phone as the curly cable had been twisted so he had to lift the whole phone to speak to me. He has since told me that earlier in the day he had seen the cable moving with no-one touching it. This went on for a little while and then stopped and he thought no more about it. He tells me it took him 10 minutes to unravel the cable after he had answered my call. There have been occasions in the past when items have moved themselves unaided but this is the first he's seen for some time
