All good to see JS. Never seen much today, was a nip in the air, despite the sunshine.

Had to look them up, but am almost sure that i seen two tortoiseshell butterflies today.

Small Tortoiseshells hibernate in adult form so that is very likely.

Seen a holly blue today. And last week a painted lady.

Well spotted Willpar. I am getting very few butterflies at present :( I was hoping the warm weather would encourage them out.

I must say, I can't recall seeing any butterflies this year, so strange :(

It is now at least two weeks since I saw a butterfly in the garden. Where have they all gone?

Seen a red admiral today. But do agree JS not a lot about.

a couple of butterflies of note today. Several small skippers and a couple of marbled whites.
