This is probably not the topic for this post. Maybe one of the Administrators can create a topic - General/Technical Issues or something like that. I'm sure all of us at some point have needed help in one way or another.
Does anyone know of free software or a link for software for resizing photos? On my last laptop I had a simple program that resized photos from megabytes to kilobytes which allowed you to post on forums etc. Unfortunately my laptop crashed and died and I lost the program. I have tried some free software but they don't appear to do the job easily.
Many thank in anticipation of your help.

Hi peregrine, I had a similar problem so I opened an account with https://www.flickr.com/photos/tags/login/. I upload any photos too big for this forum to there and there is a tool to resize them and you can then either post them from there or (as I do) download back to my laptop and post them from my hard drive.

Have you tried Paint peregrine? If you are using windows its a free tool that comes with it, and its easy to use. It resizes by percentage or pixels, I always use the pixels, but that's about it, resizing done
