I had a bluetit chasing its super cute fledgling all over the garden with food

. The little one kept flying from place to place, curious to see everything, landed on a suet feeder and was feeding itself and still, the parent kept feeding it

I'm seeing reasonable numbers of fledgling this year. All my usual suspects have shown up with youngsters in tow with the latest ones being Goldfinches. There are still nestlings being fed by the Sparrows so there is still more to come.

I know in our area there are Tree Sparrows even though I haven't seen one. There is a farm track down to the river, lined with mature trees. There are a number of nest boxes and notices on some trees providing information about the Tree Sparrow. I happened to look out the window on Thursday and low and behold there was a Tree Sparrow on the bird table, chestnut crown and distinctive cheek pattern having lunch. I have been in this area for over thirty year and that was the first one I have seen.

I would love to see a Tree Sparrow on my bird table. I have no knowledge of any within 25 miles of the Chateau
