Thanks everyone. I wouldn't have felt so bad if it was a sparrow as I have lots of them, although I would still not have been happy.

How aweful for you jomoo.. Not seen any here yet. Usually get a male and female. In fact I am still not seeing any birds in the garden except for me woodpigeons.
Having said that there is a dunnock in the garden.

Saw another robin on the feeder again this afternoon. I have just got some more suet blocks.

A jay today !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sat on the wall for only maybe 15 secs and then off. First for years.
Also a male and a female chaffinch
