Is this a sure sign of hoarding ?!?!?!?! The spindle has broken on my toilet roll holder
.
Re: CORONAVIRUS
Went for a walk over the village this morning. Hardly anyone around and just the odd car/van. On my way back, bat alley was quite busy with people, and talking to a lady, the beach had quite a few people as well.
Re: CORONAVIRUS
No-one - at all - is out and about in my road. Everyone is obeying the 'lockdown' rules.
The 'phone bills will be interesting

Re: CORONAVIRUS
Must have been the sun yesterday bringing the people out, or just plain bored out of their heads. But it was saying on the news, maybe London and bigger cities, that there are more cars on the roads.
Re: CORONAVIRUS
Just hope everyone keeps obeying the 'lockdown' rules so we get back to 'normal' sooner rather than later. However there are some idiots out there who don't seem to care or realise the gravity of the situation. Thousands of deaths from the virus and they flaunt the 'lockdown'. How many more must die before their small brains engage and realise what they are doing.
Re: CORONAVIRUS
I went to the supermarket this morning (no home of a delivery for 3 weeks!) and they were pretty much back to normal. I saw loo roll for the first time in a month! Most of the shelves were back to normal stocks.
I've got a nice loop around my estate that I can walk. One lap is 0.5 miles and about 8 minutes so 4 laps does me ok for exercise.
I've spent the last 2 days painting my hall though so that's been a nice distraction! And luckily I haven't been called in to work as I have an essential worker certificate if I get stopped by the rozzers! But the covid research we're doing hasn't got to the point where I might be needed yet.

Re: CORONAVIRUS
The people in my locality are largely observing the governments request. There are a few(about a dozen) Eastern European food shops in my town and social distancing is a foreign language for them. I doubt anyone in authority will be trying to point out the errors of their ways. The near empty roads have provided an unexpected bonus for the "boy racers" among us and Speed limits are there to be ignored while Plod are distracted by greater problems.
Re: CORONAVIRUS
If the UK death rate is doubling every 3 - 4 days (as per Michael Gove) then it doesn't take a genius in exponential curves to figure out that in about a month's time we are in very deep trouble.
The good news is that toilet rolls are no longer on the Panic List (presumably because everyone's third chest freezer is full of them
) - the new must-have is, wait for it ............ tinned tomatoes !! No, 'onest.
S'pose we must have something to pour over our panic-bought pasta
