Pot Pourri
Re: Pot Pourri
Nature's Bounty right enough ! At the beginning, the oak is, I believe, a sessile oak which is more common up north
. Quite a find, Willpar.
I wonder whether kids still play conkers ?, and a particularly good cuckoopint specimen.
I s'pose it's a bit early for the squirrels to take away the hazelnuts, but they will
.
Knew someone near me who grew grapes but they were in a sort of conservatory, not outside. That bunch looks very happy.
Very interesting vid, and lots and lots of differing apples which haven't been blown by maggots.

Re: Pot Pourri
Thank you for looking Placi. There are lots of the cuckoopint around the lanes, but mainly keeled over. The oak was over by the hotel as were most of the apples. I had to walk across their lawn to get to them. The last apple I believe is a type of crab, several were planted over the playing fields, as well as rowan, cherry and rose. Lots of fruit bearing trees to help wildlife with an oak chucked in for good measure. Is carbon offset for the gas fired power station. Will have to look up sessile oak.

Re: Pot Pourri
Excellent once again willpar. I was particularly pleased to see the Small Copper at 2.05. I haven't seen one for years.
Re: Pot Pourri
Was just thinking the other day that I've had far fewer fungi in the lawn this year.
Lovelovelove the white fuchsia !!
. How beautiful.
Surprised you still have butterfiles, Willpar - I think mine have all gone.
Aaaah, the eggs. Presumably an abandoned nest; can't identify
