Things are looking a little parched here at the chateau. Near 6 weeks of rain would be an over reaction but the odd couple of days would do no harm

A common turn of phrase for Australians when they are pleased and happy is "we are stoked"

'Stoked' - hahahahahaha  - that's very good, Jacksparrow.
After a long slow recovery from the Super Over at the denouement of the World Cup we are expected to cope with The Miracle of Headingly. I'm back on the tablets and no mistake. 'Strewth, cobber.

The Aussie skipper was very respectful and was quoted as saying "I didn't love today but I love watching him play.He plays the game lie you'd like to play it" I thought that was very fair.

I only want tickets for the first two days. Any day beyond that and I'm unlikely to see a full days play :shake:

Horrible morning (see 'Weather'). Dentist check and hygienist early morning ..... road works , access to dentist denied, had to park back there <<<< and walk through all that weather. Got wet and was not relishing return walk. To cap it all the hygienist pulled out a filling and I've got to go back tomorrow morning :weep:. 'Onestly, some days .....
