A bloody spider built a web in my wallflower and one bee got caught in it, found it dead earlier

. I can't believe it managed to build it so fast, I watered it just early last evening and there was nothing. Damn it, I will check it constantly from now on

This is second-hand - a neighbour reports a white-tailed bumblebee so that's lovely

The white tails are my most regular visitors though there a several species which can be confused with them. Second most common visitor is the smaller Tree Bumblebee.

I tried to train myself to ID the different species of Bumble by purchasing guides and plain observation. It is a lot trickier than birds with the black,yellow and white variants being very confusing. I found the more I studied the more confused I became

Seen one of the smaller bumble bees today. Had a reddish tail.
