Saw a square of something in the grass near the apple tree last night - looked like wood - of course it was the fat block. Took it back round to the bird garden from where it disappeared again later :fox:

A great treat for me on Tuesday. I had just taken mum out for the day and came back to do my superlate (17.30 - 02.07 hrs) shift and as I parked my car, I thought a cat ran by the side of it into the back garden. On closer inspection I realised it was my little fox friend - the new young one. I spoke to it and told it I would find it something to eat. It wasn't scared and went on into the back garden. I opened the back door and it was near my bins. I defrosted a chicken leg for it and threw it towards it. It picked it up and then I had to carry on the job of putting out the fox and hedgie food as it was nearly time for work. I went out into the garden filling the ground feeder tables whilst foxy carried on eating in the garden just a foot away from me at one point. I was telling it I had to carry on or I would be late for work and the fox just mingled around me not giving a care in the world!!! :) I felt quite privileged and in a good mood as I went to work. Foxy even let me get a photo!!

It is amazing how tame town Foxes become. It is almost like owning a dog but not having to go to the trouble of walking it and giving it a bed for the night. Ideal for a shift worker.
