The starlings have been to the window feeder and one was hopping from one to the other open window and came inside for a moment before ducking back out and flying away to catch up with the others.

Had the camera ready for the last couple of days, but Old Sturk never turned up. Thought the worst. Today, no camera, just back from a visit to Seniurk - and guess what? There was Old Sturk, hobbling up the garden path, eating 'something's' from the ground, stopping and looking around, hobbling a bit more and then taking flight to the pole feeders and hanging around for a few minutes.

The bird still had two Sturklets in tow, but was trying to avoid their attention!!

C urk D!!! Luvvit Jacksparra!!! :D
Managed to get some (very bad, as usual) photo's of Old Sturk. In both cases, the Sturklets are in tow as always. Old Sturk eventually jumps into the plant pot to hide away from them.... :)

It does seem like that placi! Those two Sturklets stick to Old'un like glue. The bird is good at finding insects and prefers these to table/feeder food and the Sturklets do seem to be learning a lot!! :)

If the old Sturk was clever he'd have given the hangers on the slip by now. I've seen it being done in my garden . The parent Sturk lures Sturklets into a thick shrub or bush and then disappears out the back while they're not paying attention. :)
