Re: ROBINS
I haven't seen much of him, but his younger sibling has been about. I was sat not too far from the bird bath and the baby one hopped a bit on the wall, then went for a drink. He'd be eyeballing me, so I didn't make too much movement, but he was happy enough with me there. IT's lovely when they do that.

Re: ROBINS
Somewhere recently Jacksparrow offered the question as to whether The Moult may already have begun. I reckon it has: haven't seen an adult robin for a week now and I reported a few weeks ago that Rexie was very scruffy.
Is it me or is it early this year ??

Re: ROBINS
I hadn't seen an adult until today and I'm not sure if it was the teenager with a lot more red.
Baby robin likes to come and visit in the afternoon. There was no water in the bird bath and he jumped up and down from it about 5 times whilst looking at us. Think he was telling us something

Re: ROBINS
Saw a baby robin behind the fir tree as I was bent down * sweeping the ground table slab under the hanging sunflower heart feeder.
I noticed some movement to my left - I didn't look at it again after I saw it ....
.... until it hopped closer - about 15" away from me - in front of the tree as I swept the long slab at the edge of the grass - it had two patches of pale red
* I have a mini dustpan and brush for sweeping the slabs, another for sweeping inside the two ground feeding bird houses and a third for sweeping inside the large bird feeding house on a post. They are all different designs - selected for the job
