Had many a conversation with Yellowbill on the forum then. Described herself as a 'Rock Chick'. :drumroll: A very nice lady and wish her well in her new adventure. :) :)

They have just changed the street lights out the front to LED ones. They are ridiculously bright, like strong spotlights :( I could see everything in two sections of the garden before; now it's like 94 full moons shining all over :sadbanana:

We have them in our street nuthatch. But I must say the street is darker than it was. Ours seem to be more focussed on the road. Had the orange ones before and they lit up the garden. But with these new ones, my garden is darker. Great for my night visitors.

They are strange things. I'm beyond the last street light in my street and I keep thinking a car is coming as the light reflects off the car opposite in a very white manner.

I haven't heard this particular complaint before. I have the old style yellow light outside my house and that is plenty bright enough. :)

That's funny, Willpar  We had orange ones there except one outside one section of our hedge which I always thought was broken - it was white but not bright-bright. Took me ages to realise it was ok. It was still leaning where a car went into it. They must have just replaced the shade or head of it.
The ones to the back of us in a cul de sac are still orange

Check out the Christmas ad of John Lewis. Must say I did like it.
