This was the most worrying one - on top of the bird table. It even had the cheek to look at me as I took the photo. That was before I got the electronic Cat Scarer which seems to work.

Each time there is a new cat on the block I go through the same routine. If I see them I run in their direction hissing and clapping my hands. I also grab a small handful of pea gravel which I toss in their general direction. The clatter from the gravel as it hits the fence drives home the message. After a couple of times they get the message usually though occasionally I get a thick one which tries to sneak in when it thinks I'm not about.
Mmm maybe we're not making enough noise. I still use the washing up bottle filled with water and OH throws a clod of earth to land just short of them or sometimes brandishes a bean pole
Will have to assemble a Placi Scary Stick methinks
