Just been to Tesco and swapped 50 raisins for 100 sultanas.

Can't believe the current exchange rate.

A small boy comes back to school after a holiday in the country. His teacher asks him what he saw. 'I saw a sty.' says the boy. 'And what was in the sty?' asks the teacher. The boy replies, 'A lot of very small piggy banks robbing a big piggy bank.'

Mother to son: 'What did you learn in school today?' Son: 'Not enough, I have to go back tomorrow.'

Teachert to pupul: 'Good morning, and why weren't you at school yesterday?' Pupil: 'Sorry Miss, but my grandpa got burnt.' Teacher: 'Oh dear, he wasn't burnt too badly was he?' Pupil ' Oh yes. They really know what they are doing at those crematoriums.'

Not a joke but it's a funny extract from a book I intend to buy at the earliest .....

Concerning Hannibal's trip across the Alps with his elephants - paraphrase of Will Cuppy's comments:

Hannibal kept sending back to the inhabitants of Carthage for more elephants which requests were met by howls of outrage and notes asking, Did he think they were made of elephants and anyway what had he done with the elephants already sent ?!?!?!

What's the best way to open a jar with a stuck lid? Put it on the table and tell the kids to leave it alone.
