Had a good day at the feeders ,4Greenfinch and they all looked healthy 2 Dunnock,2 Robins and so many Sturks and Sparrows, only 1 Chaffie but that may mean more cold weather.

Can't recall when I last saw a greenfinch. Such a pity - used to have lots regularly.

I usually see two Greenfinch during the week but seldom at the same time. In case you're wondering it's a male and a female.Placido wrote:Can't recall when I last saw a greenfinch. Such a pity - used to have lots regularly.

Re: WHAT I SAW TODAY.....
An interesting day so far; just seen a Goldfinch, we used to have loads of these, we have a full stack feeder of Niger seed that hasn't been touched for months.
A couple of Greenfinches made an appearance, we used to have plenty but the Trich disease wiped them out.
Two separate visits from 4 Long Tailed Tits on the Peanuts.
and I've just been watching a Willow/Marsh Tit ( I can't tell the difference)! It's been a few years since we had one of these
Two Male and one Female Bullfinch on the feeders. A pair bred last year and produced one male and one female. We've never seen two females together since, so perhaps she didn't survive, ( I like to think she eloped to another area)
