The spawn seems to have survived but I won't know for certain until the hatching has commenced.

Operation Frostguard is in full operation at present. Last night's effort seems to have been successful and it's all systems go for tonight.

You're deffy in line for Meggle of The Month, Jacksparrow. Will the taddies know that they have to stay 6 ft apart ??

It's OK the rules don't apply underwater. The earliest of the spawn is now starting break up and the taddies are huddling. This is all perfectly normal. There will be a period now where they collectively eat up all the jelly and finally break free to swim around.

I do believe the technical term is: "casing the joint". Maybe time for Operation Heronguard to kick in ....
