Pair of Siskins come into the feeders several time every day. They maybe feeding chicks somewhere.

I have had a nice pair of Greenfinch turning up recently to enjoy SF hearts. Today the cock bird arrived looking very lethargic. Another victim of tricho I'm afraid

A standard one Jacksparrow. I did look up both and read the notes. The lesser don't seem to be down this part of the world.

I'm delighted to say that I've seen a house sparrow fledgeling today , such a beautiful little thing flattering its wings asking parent to feed it . Only one though, with one parent, who I've been seeing alone on the feeder for a while. Is that normal?

I noticed it is the cock bird feeding junior which may mean the Mum is elsewhere. Perhaps only the one has fledged thus far.

More about what I saw yesterday evening around 8:30pm. A sparrowhawk zipped through the carpark here where I live. Heading towards the woods. First one in quite a while.
