First bumble toady
. Not a huge bumbly bumble but a bumble nevertheless.

Well, that's when the guilt crashed in
: very little in flower at the moment. The bumble soon moved on to pastures more amenable.

Must say, it's very encouraging to see so very many bumbles around.
Mentioned this on the 'phone to a friend who lives some distance away and the response was the same.

So. The EU has (mostly) banned neo-nicotinoids and The Bees Are Saved
. At least that's a start.
An NFU representative predicts the imminent demise of the British farmer because of this ban regardless of the fact that there remain 400-odd alternatives to neo-nics.
It has taken a long, long time for this to happen but maybe we have a real breakthrough at last.

Lovely to see this bee enjoying a wallflower that I bought in hope to attract few bees
