Last Wednesday the weather being fine I took a short walk around a recently created wetland quite near where I live.
A pair of Coots have a small family . One Chick is swimming by the nest and the other is in the nest with it's mother. Dad is in the background


There were plenty of these sunbathing


A Six Spot Burnett caught my eye.
