So, a couple of Christmas's ago, sister and I were given a photo shoot day with the birds of prey. It turned out to be a nightmare to actually book, what with both of us working, funny weather, and bird flu, but we finally managed to get our 3 hour session arranged. What a blast, I took over 2.5k photos, which explains why the sequence isn't chronological like I usually have them, as it flicked over the shutter count and lightroom and flickr didn't like the numbers going from 10-9999 to 11-0000

Still, should all come right in the wash, so this is the first set of the full day (minus the sequences I think I've taken out already :D
More tea vicar!

Is that Falcon with the black tracker a Saker? and that flight photo of the Great Grey showing the wing tips all softened out is beautiful, really shows how the softness allows stealth flight through the woods

He flew Saker and Lanner falcons, and to be honest I'm not 100% sure, but I think the Lanner had the browner crown. The Great Grey was a stunner, Mrs PB's favourite :)

Thanks Snappy, I think that's the 4th time I've been. If it hadn't been so warm the birds that were flying in the shade would have been more in the better light, but he knows them so well, and can manipulate where they go you almost always get what you want. I was after a talons out coming in to land shot and got several :)
He's also experience only, so there's only ever your party there, so previously it was me and Mrs PB (with a discount as she wasn't photographing), this time it was me and sis, and she'd been before with her camera club.

It's great to have had a unique experience with the photo opportunities you wanted PB.
