Super set of photos PB. The large Skipper photos were my favourites.

What a fab set PB with such wonderful names ..marbled white where looking rather stunning. Caroline will be giving you top marks for your work

Thank you - absolutely stunning - that Skipper with the dew is a very special photo and the MWs look so good.
I would have said Southern for that glorious beast as I'm not sure if it's hairy enough but I do struggle to tell them apart

Thanks Jack, we've had a few rubbish days weather-wise and so it was nice to be out, and everything looked fresh and pristine. I don't think any of the flutterers were in any way worn or tatty

Thanks Cin I was swaying between the 2, I didn't realise there was such variation in the colours of the sides of the thorax. I should have known there would be, just so they can make my life more difficult
I think all the butterflies I saw would have been classed as "pristine", which is a first

That looks a great place to visit, more species of butterfly than I have seen all year PB. Lovely selection of photo's.
