Alner's Gorse, again... 27/04/2026

So Mrs PB became a "lady wot lunches" Monday, meeting up with friends she used to work with.... in our kitchen. Thankfully the weather was warm and still, so obviously ideal for more shenanigans out and about!
The spotting of butterflies was very good, with a minimum of a dozen each of Brimstone and Orange Tip (unless they were all flying round in circles) several Small whites, and a couple of darker unidentifiable (by me) ones, Peacock/Small Tortoiseshell/Red Admiral types, maybe.
It was still a pleasant couple of hours I had with another "first for the year" :)

Hope you enjoy

You are ahead on the D&D front - I spotted a damsel on Monday evening but yesterday was dull and chilly so nothing showing

Thanks Jack, I always like to see them, little jewels, especially when the sun catches them :)

Cheers Snappy, the chiffchaff I sort of stalked up on, taking pics every 4 or 5 steps :) I don't often see the Beautiful, it's more often the Banded around here

Thanks Cin, I think I've been lucky with the recent weather, certainly temperature wise. It's been a bit blowy some days, but stayed sunny :)
