Finally got round to posting the rest of the trip out that was dominated by the 5 minutes of Tern activity

It's quite long, and I ran out of energy with the captions, so just a select few!

A fine selection PB

It always difficult to pick a star from your vast choice but the handsome Merganser takes it for me.

I was glad of the peace and quiet when I got back to the car

It was fabulous to hear so much song, except for the gulls squawking and crows and rooks doing whatever they do. There were multiples of dunnock, chaffinch, at least 2 song thrushes... one in full song and one just trying a few odd notes out, and countless great and blue tits all vying for sound superiority

Omg,no wonder it took you sooooo long to sort the rest of the pics out. It really was a full on days birding! Thanks for sorting and sharing...eventually

lol ta Linda. It was only an 800 photo day, but fatigue got in the way... I'm not as young as I used to be, y'know
