Last saturday was the chosen day for a wee drive down the Eskrigg in Lockerbie ,set off at 8am and sun was shining. By time I was passing cut off for Biggar the hills were covered in snow

thankfully I wasn't stopping there as it was lovely in Eskrigg. It is a tiny nature reserve but has beautiful red squirrels
And them alone is worth the drive
And a few others
After a couple of hours it got kinda busy...only takes a couple of more folk to make the place feel crowded so then it was time to head back up the road to Moffat...my other happy place

and lucky if you see anyone else, was more about the peace and quiet than the wildlife

Thanks SM, oh you want to have heard the clang as the lid closed on its head all the time , a did wonder if that caused the white patch on its fur
Moffat is peaceful and stunning in all weather
